Elise is a queer/trans writer living in Providence, RI. She was a finalist for the Ploughshares Emerging Artist Contest and the 2024 Whitefish Montana Prize for Humor. Her work was awarded a fellowship at the GrubStreet Novel Generator and multiple scholarships at the Craigardan Writers’ Residency. Her short stories have been published in Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Motif, and the upcoming _Figuration. Her flash fiction was a finalist in the 2024 American Short(er) Fiction Contest. When she’s not writing, she plays in the bands Long Stories and Sketch Pilot.
